Meet Abi , Our Muse of the Month
Get to know Abi, the founder of Garden of Abi, in a personal conversationabout her vision, rituals and inspiration.
We asked Abi a few questions to step into her world:
🌿Describe yourself in three things you’d find in your bedroom:
A Japanese incense burner, a pile of books and a organic cotton indigo robe. The incense carries a little of my life in Japan, the books reflect my constant curiosity, and the robe perhaps says something about my love of beauty, sensuality andthe ritual of getting dressed with care, even at home.
🌿 What’s your relationship with your own beauty?
It has become much freer. When I was younger and modelling, beauty was something that was constantly looked at from the outside. Today, at 50, I experience it much more from within. I still love clothes, skincare, scent and all the playful rituals around beauty, in new ways, but I don't want beauty to be about correcting myself. I want it to express how I feel.
🌿 What are you slowly becoming?
More myself. Less interested in fitting into what I thought I was supposed to be, and more willing to hold all the different parts of myself at once, softness and strength, stillness and fire, motherhood, womanhood, creativity and ambition.
🌿 Leave us with one thing: a word, a feeling, a colour.
Green. The colour of growth, nature and new beginnings, but also of coming backto something essential.
Through her words and rituals, Abi reminds us that the most beautiful stories are not about becoming someone else, but about becoming more ourselves, revealing the beauty that emerges when curiosity, softness, and self-expression align.
Stay inspired,
Karolin
